Project

Project is a simple grouping of the Build Configuration. The project has a name (usually corresponds to the name of a real project) and can have some meaningful description.

TeamCity uses project level for managing Security. In TeamCity Enterprise Edition is it is possible to assign per-project Role and Permission to users. This makes it possible to assign users different Role and Permission for each project. TeamCity Professional Edition lacks this feature and users are assigned permissions for all of the projects.

You can create and change projects in the Administration page. Use the Projects page to configure the visible projects that display in the overview.
