Inspectopedia 2024.3 Help

Scope function with nested forEach can be simplified

Reports forEach functions in the scope functions such as also or apply that can be simplified.

Convert forEach call to onEach quick-fix can be used to amend the code automatically.

Examples:

fun test(list: List<Int>) { val x = list.also { it.forEach { it + 4 } }.toString() val y = list.apply { forEach { println(it) } } }

After the quick-fix is applied:

fun test(list: List<Int>) { val x = list.onEach { it + 4 }.toString() val y = list.onEach { println(it) } }
