IDE Provisioner Restricted Mode
In some cases, IDE Provisioner may be disabled for your organization. This can occur if:
It is available but not activated. In this case you can enable it on the License & Activation page.
It is not part of your subscription.
Besides, IDE Provisioner may be disabled for a specific profile while being active on the organization level. To enable it, navigate to relevant profiles.
When disabled, IDE Provisioner doesn't stop completely but continues to operate in restricted mode, handling the essential components and features necessary for IDE Services and supported products to function. If you have License Vault, Code With Me Enterprise, and AI Enterprise enabled for your organization, they will not be affected. However, managing the distribution of IDE applications, their plugins, and propagating their settings will be disabled.
The following features are NOT available when IDE Provisioner is disabled:
IDE distribution management. Adding or removing IDE applications and corresponding restrictions. Auto-installing IDEs.
Specifying IDE Settings and their propagation.
Setting up VM Options for IDEs.
IDE plugin management. Auto-installing or disabling plugins.
Storing IDE plugins in an internal plugin repository and distributing them to the users.
The following features remain available even when IDE Provisioner is disabled:
License Vault service, if it is enabled for your organization.
Code With Me Enterprise service, including plugin distribution, provided Code With Me Enterprise is enabled for your organization.
AI Enterprise service, including plugin distribution and AI Assistant setting management, provided AI Enterprise is enabled for your organization.
Toolbox App version filtering, restrictions, and settings.
Distribution of IDE Services plugin via plugin repository.
Profile management, such as creating, updating, deleting profiles and assigning users. Profile contents management is limited to enabled products (such as Code With Me Enterprise, AI Enterprise, License Vault)
